In the beginning, Charlotte was just a village, but after settlers moved in from Richmond, it became a boom town for the Eastern Seaboard. Sadly, the War of 1812 crippled the economy, and the Civil War ravaged the land. Because of this, many movie and tv producers decide to film here.
